Bringing cocoa from the Caribbean (starting with St Vincent, and now including the Dominican Republic) to loyal customers worldwide, Islands Chocolate is a proudly ethical seed to bar cocoa company.
Why did you choose your space?
We moved into our Battersea premises over 3 years ago now. Our previous office was close by and we simply outgrew that space. We liked the area and wanted to stay central whilst having the balance of sufficient space too. We also wanted to find somewhere that could combine both office and warehouse, so the dual-functionality that Linford Street offered in this regard meant it felt like the right fit.
Tell us more about your space
Our office is upstairs and the below the mezzanine is our storage and refrigeration racks. We also have a functional kitchen, which our product development chef can cook up delicious treats to showcase our products to visiting clients.
We do use a third party logistics provider to help with some of our overflow storage, but we’re able to house all of our product line - so most of it we handle ourselves.
What’s been the highlight of your experience with The Arch Company?
We’ve been able to make changes to our space that were necessary for us to function, and these positive changes have really made a difference to how we work.
What’s next for Islands Chocolate?
We started out with chocolate and have moved into powders and butters – who knows what we might do next. The chocolate market can be difficult, but we are proud to make a difference in what we do. Business fortunately is thriving, and we have exciting partnerships in place, with many more to come. We began by supplying some of the world’s best known chefs – and are proud to say we still do.
