Since The Arch Company was established in 2019, we've been transforming and enhancing spaces to create long-term value for our customers, communities, and stakeholders. Operating across England and Wales, we focus primarily on central urban locations.

Our investment

While many of our developments are railway arches, our portfolio also includes freestanding buildings, residential properties, and open land sites. Wherever possible, we prioritise repurposing over rebuilds, helping to reduce material usage and minimise environmental impact.​
Everything we do starts with our customers’ needs. We listen carefully, collaborate, and design spaces that work for the businesses and communities they serve. From architects and planning consultants through to construction and delivery teams, we work together to ensure every project is completed to the highest standard.

Project 1000 is an exciting and ambitious programme that demonstrates our commitment to creating thriving environments for a diverse mix of small businesses and their communities. Our long-term investment will create space for 1,000 businesses and support approximately 5,000 jobs by the end of the decade.

We are continuing to invest significantly in our estate, bringing spaces back to life, supporting local economic growth, and creating lasting social value. Our approach is shaped by a strong ESG focus: we look to improve energy efficiency, reduce embodied carbon, and minimise waste to landfill, to create spaces that positively contribute to the communities around them. It all comes down to making it easy for small and medium-sized businesses, through developing spaces that work, enabling them to thrive.

It’s great to see these spatially fascinating railway arches come back into use for new generations. As a customer of The Arch Company and having designed a series of arch fit outs, we experienced first-hand the benefit of being in these spaces and welcome this development programme. The decision to continue updating arches will hopefully lead to many small businesses finding homes in locations they otherwise could not.
